Introduction
Janata Secondary School is a leading government school established on 1968 A.D. (2024 B.S.) with an aim of providing quality education to all the students.It is located at Satyawati Rural Mnicipality ward no -1, Gulmi district of Province no -5, Nepal. Many economically poor students as well as the students from the remote area are studying in this school. Janata Secondary school offers both Nepali and English medium from Nursery to class 10. Now, 25 teaching and 3 non-teaching staffs are working in this school.
School Anniversary
The annual festival literally means the end of the year celebration. Like all local festivals the school has also an annual festival. This tells us how many years our school has been built. like the annual festival of each school, the annual festival of this school is celebrated in poush 22(January 6). It is a special day also known as parents day. The principal and manager of this school are engaged to duly complete this festival. in preparation for this, preparation starts a month in advance under supervision of these two. In this , all the teacher and staff of this school make their full contribution..In this day, best , parents, teachers, and students are awarded. Competition for sports , races,etc will be organized under the art exhibition and cultural program under art culture. During the annual festival, drama dance, songs, etc will be organized which was mentioned by school
Geographical Location:
Janata Secondary School is located in ward no. 1 Satyawati Rural Municipality, Gulmi district of Province no.5, Nepal.The place is locally known as Aslewachaur. It is situated at a altitude of about 620 m above sea level. Aslewachaur is a flat and fertile land in which Harmichaur in east, Limgha in west, Thulolumpek and Kaligandaki river in north and south direction respectively. The school is established in a rural setting which experiences quite cold weather in winter season and moderate weather in summer season.
Relation of community and school:
Janta Secondary School and the community has enjoyed a beautiful relationship since the very beginning. The service area of the school is quite large and scattered. So it's quite hard to give the exact number of the household of the service area. However, it is believed that around 3600 people from about 750 households are living in the area. People from different caste and religion live in this area. All the people of this area speak Nepali language. The people of this area are engaged in different sectors like business, service, foreign employment and agriculture. All the people living in this community have always helped in the economic, physical, and educational development since the establishment of the school.
As per the rules and regulations of the Government of Nepal, it is mandatory for the government schools of the country to establish School Management Committee and Parent Teacher's Association for the successful running of the school. Major legal decisions of the school are passed or amended from these committees. These committees are conducted by the active participation of the people from the locality. Thus, community is closely connected in front and active role. School has large area which is also benefited by society.
Teacging methods and resources
We provide the quality education to our student through a variety of teaching methods and materials both inside and outside the classroom. Beside regular lecture, our school organize extra curricular activities once a week such as quize contest, debate, drama, cultural program, role-playing etc.. Our education mainly is based on Learning By Doing.

Homework:
The volumes of homework are set as per school Homework Policy that is in Consonance with the student’s skill, level and age. We believe that homework is not looking back at what has been learnt. Rather it is further exploration of a subject that has been introduced to a child.
Attendance:
Every student of our School is required to attend at least 75% of the total classes run in an academic year.
Examination and Assessment:
The academic session is divided into three terms; Fortnightly assessments are given to keep a track of the student’s Performance. We use both formative and summative evaluation methods to ensure overall and fair judgment of the students.
